I decided to write my lesson plan for the first section of the unit. I thought it would be beneficial to show how I was going to teach the fundamental vocabulary for this unit, so it could be built on in later lessons. I also think this lesson fits the overall theme of population well even though it is most likely different from the way that population is discussed in other disciplines. This will help students broaden their idea of what a population is as they begin to explore it in all of their classes.
